From the start, Rippowam Animal Hospital seemed like a great clinic, but after being with them for two years, the communication and professionalism have gone completely downhill. Yesterday, I called because I simply needed my dog Rocky’s NexGard prescription resent to Costco Pharmacy. Instead of helping, I was hung up on THREE separate times. When I finally got through and explained that I was only calling because I kept getting disconnected, I was told the person who authorizes prescriptions “wasn’t in” and that they supposedly could not even take a message for them. I was told I would just have to keep calling back during specific set hours. Meanwhile, almost immediately after, they conveniently sent me a text message encouraging me to order the medication through their own expensive website instead. Since I work and can’t spend my day playing phone tag, I started asking what information I’d need to give my dog’s dad so he could handle it. Instead of resolving the issue, they then proceeded to send me information for the WRONG medication entirely, offering Simparica Trio when Rocky needs NexGard. To make matters worse, I clearly explained that Costco Pharmacy explicitly stated the prescription MUST come directly from the vet by phone or fax and cannot be handed over by me personally. Even after explaining that multiple times, they still refused to simply leave a message for the prescription coordinator or handle the request properly. Yes, at one point I said “you guys suck,” because after being hung up on repeatedly, refused basic communication, sent the wrong medication information, and forced to go in circles over something this simple, I was beyond frustrated. Yet somehow they were more concerned about policing my wording than actually helping my dog get his medication. I genuinely hate leaving negative reviews, but this experience was exhausting, unprofessional, and honestly disappointing after being a loyal client for years.

Excellent visit for updated vaccinations and an additional concern. Dr. Anderson performed a thorough examination. Listened to concerns. Was excellent handling our 9 year old shepherd who isn't crazy about vet visits. Did a titre test to see if our dog really needed an update on one her vaccines (She didn't!).
