We have had our dog seen here since we adopted her in 2017. Very happy with her care and process of getting appointments. Most recently had our dog see Dr. Callahan for her annual checkup. He was very thorough in her annual exam and explained the process in detail. Much more information than your standard human annual physical! Finding a good vet practice is difficult and I highly recommend Dr. Callahan and the High Ridge practice for other pet owners.

On Monday 4/20/26, my wife and I made the agonizing decision to euthanize our beloved 12-year-old Doberman, NikkiLu, after a long illness. High Ridge Animal Hospital has cared for our dogs since 1988, and they had been seeing NikkiLu since she was a puppy. I called them at 8:00 AM, and, even though Mondays are often busy, they scheduled the appointment for 9:30 AM. Everyone there was sensitive, sympathetic, and caring. Dr. Galanski performed the euthanasia, and NikkiLu slipped away peacefully to the Rainbow Bridge to join our other dogs who had gone before her. The staff at High Ridge Animal Hospital all did their best to make this devastating event easier to bear.

I have been bringing my 6-year-old Boston Terrier here since he was just 3 months old, and the level of care has always been truly exceptional. Most recently, when he wasn’t feeling well, the team got him in immediately, which meant so much to me. He was seen by Dr. Callahan, who performed a very thorough examination and took considerable time to clearly explain what was going on and what to expect moving forward. The follow-up care was just as attentive and comprehensive. I continue to be incredibly impressed with the professionalism, compassion, and consistency of this practice. I wouldn’t trust my dog’s care anywhere else.
